Portrait sessions for a cause
Each year, professional pet photographers around the world unite to feature dogs in their local area and raise funds for animal charity.
To date, the annual Tails of the World books have featured over 1,150 dogs and raised over $95,000!

Barking Dog Images has been selected again as the official photographer for Southeastern Wisconsin! I’m looking for 10 dogs to feature in my pages of Tails of the World for 2025.

The Charities
100% of the session fees from the Tails of the World: Southeaster Wisconsin photoshoots are donated to HAWS. Specifically, The $1,000 donation will support the Schallock Center for Animals, a beautiful farm dedicated to education, sanctuary, and other community enrichment. 100% of the book proceeds (published by Caitlin) are donated to Geelong Animal Welfare Society. Geelong Animal Welfare Society is dedicated to the welfare of companion animals. About the Photographer
Hi! I’m Nadia, and dogs are my passion. Years ago, when I wasn’t training or competing with my dogs, I discovered that I love to photograph them. Now, I want all pet parents to have beautiful memories of their dog frozen in time, whether it’s from a dog sport competition or a gorgeous portrait at sunset.
“Nadia has photographed my beloved pets through truly all life stages: from wrangling a wiggly, wild eight-week-old puppy, to ensuring my senior dog’s utmost comfort and happiness during a “sunset” session. She helps both human and animal to feel at ease and have an enjoyable experience during the shoot, only to be surpassed by the absolute delight in seeing your finished photos and receiving the gorgeous artwork following your session.”
The Details
Tails of the World is a collaborative project from pet photographers all around the globe united in their mission to make a difference for animals in need. It is the brainchild of Australian pet photographer Caitlin J. McColl who founded the project in 2022.
- All dogs living in Southeastern Wisconsin are welcome to apply!
- A $99 registration fee includes your custom pet photography session with Barking Dog Images a one-image feature in Tails of the World.
- 100% of this registration fee benefits HAWS and 100% of book sale proceeds are donated directly to Geelong Animal Welfare Society.
- Book sessions will be held in June – August 2025 at select locations that represent the greater Milwaukee and Lake Country area.
Tails of the World will be designed and professionally printed by Caitlin J. McColl and will be available for purchase online in December 2025.

The $99 registration fee includes:
– A photo session for one dog with Barking Dog Images at one of the pre-determined locations
– A one photo feature in the book Tails of the World
– $99 donation to HAWS – the entire registration fee!
Your Registration Fee does NOT include:
– Photos with you or additional dogs/humans in your household (but can be added for a fee)
– The Tails of the World book (but it can be ordered at a later date)
– Digital images or printed artwork from your session (but available to purchase)
The Process
Registration
On May 1st, applications will be open for the Tails of the World: Southeastern Wisconsin project! If accepted, you will be asked to choose your package and further registration information will be sent via email.
The Session
It’s time for your dog to shine! We will take photographs in a location that represents SE WI (you are asked to indicate a preference on your application). If you upgrade, we will spend more time taking photos and can include you and other humans or dogs!
Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment
Get ready for ooohs, ahhhs, and maybe some tears! We will watch a slideshow of my favorite images from the session and you can decide if you would like to make any purchases.
The Artwork
I’m not in the business of pet photography, I’m in the business of artwork! My job is to make something tangible that you will love for many generations to come. If you love a single image or want to make a gallery wall from your session, show-stopping wall art starts at $600. If you can’t resist a larger collection of your images, image boxes, print packages, and albums start at $700.
All of the products are sourced through professional printing labs around the world that are not available to consumers. Each printed purchase includes the accordingly digital file sized for social media (I know you want to share them on your Instagram!), and digitals are also available to add-on to your product order.
