Best Photos of 2022 by Barking Dog Images
Another year has come and gone, and it’s time to summarize my favorite shots from the 2022!
Barking Dog Images has grown exponetially in 2022! I am so proud and thankful to my clients, friends, and family for your support of my small business! As a joyful way to wrap up the year, I wanted to post some of my favorite moments (in no specific order) that I was honored to capture in 2022.
Best hairdo
Come as you are – or spruce your dog’s look up a little! Jade, an energetic, brave golden retriever fighting cancer, donned a gorgeous floral crown for her session.

Best blooper
Puppy portrait sessions are my absolute FAVORITE! They are so silly and goofy. Veela the Whippet puppy thought her pink tutu was more of a toy than an outfit!

Best sunrise
Border Collie Glow and her family met me at sunrise on the shore of Lake Michigan for a magical portrait session. It might have smelled like fish, but you would never know based on how magical her portraits turned out!

Best dressed
This category was so hard – I LOVE it when owners bring accessories like bandanas, scarves, and collars to their photography session! Cinnamon had a few outfit changes, but her raincoat was my favorite.

Best landscape
Wisconsin and Illinois have so many beautiful locations for dog photography! This year’s best landscape was taken in almost the same location as my pick from 2021 – maybe Menomonee Park is one of my favorite spots to shoot?

Best action
My favorite event of the year as a photographer and an agility handler is the UKI Midwest Cup! The level of competition and courses are amazing. I can’t wait to cover this event again in 2023!

Best puppy cuddles
I love photographs of owners and their dogs together, and even more so when a puppy is involved! Camber’s puppy session last winter included this adorable smooch from his mom!

Rarest breed
I am honored to have a change to photograph the naked Xoloitzcuintli Vinz this year (as well as his fur siblings who are also rare breeds!). I love this breed’s spirit!

Best inclement weather
Stormy, rainy weather is not the most fun for playing disc with your dog, but it sure dogs make for beautiful photos! Bridger the Golden Retriever wrapped up his portrait session right as a huge storm rolled in.

Best trick
I met up with Holly and her two amazing border collies Sophie and Risk near her home in Minnesota on a gorgeous summer evening. Look at their performance for the camera!

That’s a wrap!
Keep an eye out for new year specials, new offerings, and other exciting changes coming to Barking Dog Images in 2023!
